About Me

Felicia Levy, LCSW

(she/her)

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience.

My style as a therapist is warm, compassionate, and engaging. I provide support, empathy, and insight with integrity and humor, creating a safe environment for clients to gain perspective, even in the most stressful situations.

I am an Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) International Association Certified Therapist. EMDR is an evidence-based therapy technique that helps people reprocess past events in order to alleviate current symptoms, triggers, and distress from troubling memories. For more information on EMDR, please visit my EMDR page.

I am also trained in Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC). MSC is another evidence-based practice that helps individuals cultivate a mindful awareness of their challenges, coupled with a kind and non-judgmental attitude towards themselves, encouraging emotional resilience and well-being. For more information on MSC, please visit my MSC page.

The combination of MSC and EMDR serves as a powerful approach, providing valuable benefits for individuals dealing with distressing memories, stuck patterns, and life challenges, with a focus on enhancing emotional regulation, resilience, and fostering a compassionate mindset during the course of therapy.

I received my Bachelor of Arts from Northeastern Illinois University and my Masters of Social Work from University of Illinois at Chicago, Jane Addams College of Social Work.
